The Never Ending Battle With Squirrels |

Squirrels are sometimes cute and fun to watch, till they start on the seeds I put into my bird feeders.
Have you heard the saying... "Where there is a will. There is a way."?
Squirrels are willing to try new tactics for those seeds they crave like a drug addict.
Things you should remember:
Squirrels are remarkable jumpers, keep your feeders away from trees and buildings.
Place a post in the middle of the yard for your bird feeders.
Place a squirrel feeder as far as possible form the bird feeder, under the treeand or off the house.
Place your bird feeder as high as possible off the ground, to keep the squirrels from just jumping up to it.
Do not place the bird feeder under wire, or the squirrels will drop down on it.
Get a feeder designed so that the only place for the squirrel to get at the nuts and seeds is from the perch, and set the perch to shut the feed trap if something too heavy rests on the perch, shutting off the food supply.
